After a brief hiatus, the KHI Journal Club resumes with a piece on patient safety by emergency physician and MPH candidate Anwar Al-Awadhi. As health systems in MENA strive to improve quality of care in their facilities, greater emphasis is being placed on overcoming challenges in patient safety. Interventions that place safeguards throughout the patient's flow within the health care system and means to measure their effects are being implemented as part of broader health reform plans.
