Sarah Al-Youha has recently joined the KHI as Editor-in-chief of the medical education section. She is a MD/PhD student at Manchester University. Sarah spent the past three years working on a wound healing and regenerative medicine research project through a collaboration between Manchester University's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Research Group and the Wellcome Trust's Cell-Matrix Research Group. She is due to complete her medical education in 2011. After that, she plans to apply to a surgical residency.
Sarah is a member of Kuwait Medical Society UK/Ireland, a network for Kuwaiti medical students in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Her interests include experimental research, medical eduction, healthcare innovation and public engagement in science.
When she is not in the laboratory, she enjoys outdoor activities, socializing over food, going to music festivals and watching any sport (yes, that includes curling!). Sarah can be reached at sara.alyouha@q8health.org.
